Local Foundation Awards $5 Million to Harvey Mudd College
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (December 1, 2003) - The Sontag Foundation announced today that it will donate $5 million for the construction of a new dormitory at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. The building will be named the Frederick and Susan Sontag Residence Hall.
Based on this funding commitment, work on the structure has already begun. Construction progress can be monitored live at www.hmc.edu/muddvision/sontag-cam-1.html. The building will house approximately 80 students and will open for occupancy for the school year beginning in the fall of 2004.
